I know it’s been a minute since I’ve posted something new. I’ll be completely transparent, July and even the start of August has been rough! The stress of life even began to take a toll on my health earlier this week. Thank You Lord for being Jehovah Rapha, my healer and protector. Trying to balance life can sometimes be overwhelming, and you just find yourself in a terrible rut that you can’t seem to dig your way out of. Initially when God gave me the vision to launch this site, I was extremely motivated and eager to begin my journey of blogging. I had no idea how much work and time it would require. I honestly started to question everything and reconsider this complete assignment. Building consistent readers and maintaining creative content is extremely tedious. Not to mention maintaining a life outside of blogging. However with time and self-reflecting, I was reminded why my purpose is greater than my emotions. My purpose and desire to inspire and encourage other women to embrace their journey was the motivation I needed not to neglect my own. Also the perfect gentle reminder to “not grow weary in well doing”. This month I celebrate my birth. 27 years of abundant life and unlimited blessings. I don’t take it as coincidence that God allowed me to be born in the 8th month. He’s so intentional. The number 8 in the Bible represents -New Beginnings”.
A time of “Resurrection and Reconstruction”.
I struggle with complacency. I am one of those people who are always coming up with new innovative ideas and projects to achieve greater in life, because I truly believe that there is so much God wants for us. How often do we short change ourselves because we allow the enemy to cloud our minds and make us feel as though we will never be able to reach the goal(s) we’ve set. All it takes is one negative thought to create a wide dynamic of procrastination and idleness. Perfect territory for the enemy to do his best work. We began to feel like we aren’t doing enough, or achieving things fast in the time manner that we “think” we should be. A quick way to find yourself feeling inadequate. The Devil is a LIAR! I am here to remind you that the race is not given to the swift, but to the one who endures to the end. While in my constant phase of doubt and uncertainty…I heard God say to me, “You have all the tools you need inside that have equipped you to do great works. You were created in MY image, therefore you have already succeeded more than the minds of man can imagine. Your job is to trust me! The journey is just as important as the destination.” I am here to tell you, if you have taken the steps towards a vision or goal, or have thought about embarking on a new journey…TAKE THE LIMITS OFF. Yes, it can absolutely be frustrating, tiresome, and even sometimes confusing..however if you can get past all of those temporary emotions the reward is so much greater on the other side.
I challenge you today to resurrect & bring back to life those dreams, goals, and ideas that you have been wavering in your mind about. YOU are the only thing holding you back. If it’s starting a new business, continue to write out that business plan. If it’s changing career paths, have faith and ask God for direction. Even if it’s starting your own blog as well, take that leap and dive into your own journey. Understand to achieve anything requires faith, determination, dedication, hard work, and belief in yourself. You are here to enrich the world. Don’t be a slave to your dreams! With Knowledge comes power, but it is dependent on you learning, embracing, and doing.
[Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”…]
You don’t have to be perfect, just committed! ♥️
